Born in 1956 in the beautiful city of Poznan in Poland, I trained at Poznan Academy of Fine Art working in a range of materials and forms. Having moved to England 12 years ago I I now concentrate on more traditional methods of painting and sketching using charcoal and pastel.
Often working from memory or photographs, I focus on the soul or spirit of my subject to capture the character of the individual or animal, whether the playfulness of a cat or the stoicism or eagerness of a dog. Greyhounds are a particular favourite.
Outside of art, both I and my wife, Marie, are fervent supporters of the Greyhound Trust and abhor all forms of animal exploitation, greyhound racing in particular.
