I come from a painting and drawing background and have always liked the drama of the human form.

Studied for a BA in General Art in California where I was first introduced to textiles and stitch. Shortly after when I returned to England I pursued this area and went on to experiment with different combinations of textile and paint. This has opened up a whole new way of working which allows me more freedom and made me realise how important texture is to my work.

I use a combination of fabric, paper, thread, paint, fabric dyes, wax crayons, charcoal – in fact anything that will suit my purpose. At the moment I am concentrating more on various papers stitched together to create a surface to paint into.

Now living in Wiltshire I show my work through galleries and art fairs but can also be contacted for commissions.
